HAVOC 101

Here at NHRL, we fight robots in three different weight classes: 3lb, 12lb, and 30lb.

The goal of each fight is to disable your opponent. If a robot can't move for 10 seconds, it is knocked out. Competitors may also tap out if they want to stop the fight.

Fights run a maximum of 3 minutes. After that, the winner is decided by a panel of judges, who score based on the criteria of Damage, Control, and Aggression.

OUR TOURNAMENT FORMAT

We start each weight class in a preliminary stage, where every robot has to win two fights to enter the single-elimination Brackets.

Our KO Show starts at 2 pm Eastern, with late preliminary and early bracket fights. Every fight at this point is an elimination fight.

Prime Time starts at 7pm Eastern, with the quarterfinals of each Bracket. The final 8 bots in each weight class battle for a place at the World Championships, and for the first-place trophy, the Golden Dumpster.

PRELIMINARY STAGE

We start at 9 am Eastern with the preliminary stage, where builders battle their ways to earn a spot into the Bracket.

Win two fights, and you’re in. Lose two, and you are eliminated.

BRETTZONE

Want to see every single fight, from every angle? This is where BrettZone comes in.

We run fights in multiple cages simultaneously, so we can't show every single fight during our broadcast. But you can still watch them by heading over to BrettZone, where each and every camera angle from inside the cage is available to view.

BRACKETS & RESULTS

At 2:00 pm Eastern, all fights become elimination fights, and we see the first of our Bracket fights on our KO Show. The Bracket is single elimination, so from this point forward if you lose, you’re OUT.

Follow each Bracket here::

3lb bracket

12lb bracket

30lb bracket

The Bracket progresses until 5:30 pm Eastern. At that point, there are only 8 bots left in each weight class, so the competition takes a break.

During the break, builders begin preparing for Prime Time, LIVE at 7 pm Eastern, where we show one fight at a time. The last bot remaining in any weight class wins the coveted Golden Brett.

Who will be crowned 2025 NHRL World Champion?

Tune in to find out!
